About the translator
Chris Daniels, son of the well-known language-artist maestro David Daniels, was born in New York City in 1956. He dropped out of high school and never went to college. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is working on a gigantic anthology of Lusophone poets.
Shearsman Books are in the process of publishing three volumes of his translations of Fernando Pessoa; Shearsman magazine will feature his translation of a major poem by Mário de Sá-Carneiro in its April 2008 double-issue.
