About the author
Ken Edwards was born in Gibraltar in 1950, went to King's College London in 1968, where he studied under the late Eric Mottram, and lived in London until 2004, when he moved with his wife Elaine to Hastings.
Since 1993, he has run Reality Street Editions, which was formed through the amalgamation of his own Reality Studios imprint with Wendy Mulford's Street Editions. Wendy remains as editorial consultant to the merged entity.
Ken has also been involved in composing and performing music since the early 1990s. His day job is journalism, and at present, he works as an editor for the Royal College of Nursing.
His publications include eight + six (Reality Street), Good Science (Roof Books, New York) and a first novel Futures (Reality Street). Forthcoming is Bird Migration in the 20th Century (poetry; Spectacular Diseases, Peterborough). A second novel is in progress. Performances of his music include the opera To the Edge (co-written with four others), premiered at the Steiner Theatre, London in 2004, and Ornettology, for string quartet, selected by the SPNM for the Sorrel Quartet at the Cheltenham Festival, 1997.
