About the author

Paul Holman is based in Brighton. His blog can be accessed here.

He co-edited the Invisible Books imprint with Bridget Penney through the 1990s: although the press is slumbering, they continue to run the retail side of Invisible Books as an online bookdealing business.

He is a member of the Field Study mail art group. Some of the exercises in headlessness to be found in The Memory of the Drift were originally conceived and published in the form of Field Study emanations: others developed from magical workings in the Horus-Maat current.

He admits to a limited body of writing outside the Drift. One such text has been dismembered and resurrected by the loop–based vocal group Askew and Avis.

'Holman poems are much more like other Holman poems than like anything else' — Andrew Duncan.
