Shearsman Books was founded shortly after Shearsman magazine in 1982, in order to offer collections to authors involved with the magazine. The press geared up substantially with a shift to print-on-demand publishing for most titles in 2003. In 2004 we published 18 new titles, 24 more in 2005, 23 in 2006, 42 in 2007, 60 in 2008, and 63 in 2009. Download a complete stocklist or catalogues for 2005 through 2009 by clicking "Download Catalog" from the download buttons to your left—these will take you to an intermediate page with details of the brochures available from this site, including the final complete catalogue for 2009. Samplers from most of the 2006 and 2007 titles are likewise accessible from the "year" pages in the menu to your left. Further samplers will be added and, in due course, all of our publications will have them except where copyright restrictions prevent it.
In addition, we make e-chapbooks available for free download from this site. At the moment eighteen are available; further e-books will be added in the first quarter of 2010.
