The Shearsman Reading Series – London

Venue

Swedenborg Hall, Swedenborg House, 20/21 Bloomsbury Way, London WC1A 2TH. There will be no admission fee, although we will "pass the hat" for donations. Recent Shearsman titles will be on sale at all readings.

Entrance to the Hall is on Barter Street off Bloomsbury Way. Closest Tube Stations: Holborn (Central & Piccadilly Lines: 4 minutes' walk), Tottenham Court Road (Central & Northern Lines: 6 minutes), Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line: 10 minutes). Several buses stop a few yards from the Hall. Disabled Access: please contact us in advance for arrangements. There is limited Pay-and-Display parking available in the area, and an underground carpark is close by, underneath Bloomsbury Square.

The Shearsman Reading Series has been created in order to provide a regular venue for readings by Shearsman authors, past and present, from the magazine as well as from the ranks of Shearsman book authors. The series will feature mainly UK-based writers, but we will try to arrange for visiting authors from outside the country to be included wherever possible. Each reading will feature two or three authors, although, for magazine launches, we may feature several readers in short spots. From time to time the series will also feature guest readers from outside the Shearsman roster.

For details of all other readings—i.e. those outside the press's own events—click on News in the menu at the top of the page.
