The
Book of Lamentation 12
i remember
the day we moved
into the house,
the Sunday morning A was born,
the nothing days at home and
pushing A on the swings –
i
remember
smoking out the
back porch door
when little J was born and her
purply white umbilical cord was cut –
i
remember
the time we spent
at parks,
cutting grass and the hedges –
i
remember
when
C was born – it
was a long home
confinement, then a boy of a surgeon
threatened M with a caesarean –
i
remember
reading, doing
homework, making food
and going
to swimming
pools –
i
remember
when
you learned to go a two wheeler
then –
i
remember
when things fell
apart.
i
don't know how
much later it
was –
eight or nine years later I guess.
i
remember
being in limbo
there,
not knowing what would happen, then
i
remember
all leaving the
house and i locked the door
for
the
last
time –
i
don't remember
much really
I've got a new life now
and visit you all when I can.
